I-95 Interstate Rehabilitation Southbound in Dillon from MM 171 to near MM 193

Project Description

SCDOT proposes rehabilitating the pavement on I-95 southbound from mile marker 171 to mile marker 193 in Florence and Dillon Counties. This rehabilitation project extends approximately 22 miles.

Improvement includes:

  • Milling and overlaying existing sections of pavement

  • Patching and overlaying the existing concrete sections of pavement with four inches of asphalt

  • Replacing culverts at mile marker 186 (Little Reedy Creek) with new bridges

Project Status

We are in the Construction Phase of the project development process with anticipated completion set for Summer 2025.

The Latest

Construction: Repairs to the bridge are nearing completion, with some contract work still remaining. Prior to final completion, all work will be checked to ensure safety and compliance with required standards, such as road smoothness and proper slope. Most of the construction is expected to be finished by Thanksgiving 2025.
